A letter of support

I am grateful to Alan for this short letter. The world we are asked to accept is one where an honourable teacher and family man is threatened with his career on the nonsensical premise that his small cannabis grow op makes him an unacceptable risk to kids as a secondary school teacher.

"For once I’m not asking for help, I just thought I’d share last night’s thoughts with you. You promised me a powerful experience and last night I got one. I’d read your suggestions for the DEA website and the headline “girl killed by unusually pure heroin” this got me thinking of all the people that I have known that could still have been here if they’d not lived under prohibition. I visualised them one by one so that they became real again in my mind. Then I thought of how many times this could be repeated throughout the country, it was absolutely mind blowing. I think I’m just starting to realise the magnitude of what we are all trying to achieve. When I next try to explain to someone about drug discrimination I will have a new opening line “if you could try to help save the lives of many thousands of people and vastly improve the quality of life for millions, what would you do?”"
